This feature allows the horse to play with the bit but not as much as the French link or Circle ring centerpiece.

With more connection to the reins, the mouth

piece locks itself and creates tongue pressure while taking some of the pressure away from the bars.

This limits the nutcracker effect in the horse mouth.

Emma acts like a regular double jointed snaffle when the horse is working correctly, but if the horse comes against the rider's hand, the more intensive locking effect occurs. This is immediately released once the horse accepts the bit again.


Personally, I love this bit! 

Haven't tried it on any horse that doesn't like it. Most of them we have tried it on loved it.


Our loose rings allow for immediate release and relief from bar and tongue pressure. The bit is immediately reset to a neutral position in the horse's mouth.

Some riders think their horse is a bit too heavy and get slower reactions on Dee rings; then I would recommend trying loose rings with Wings instead. 

The wings are an excellent way to avoid pinching of your horse lips and prevent the bit being pulled through the mouth.
